Training

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to close our face-to-face Trek Training and Wild Adventures programs. This was devastating to our community and our team, after nearly 20 years of transforming lives.

Many of the women in this community had supported us and each other through building Coastrek charity hikes around Australia and putting Wild Women On Top at the heart of their lives. We knew we needed to come up with a way to keep supporting our community through this challenging year, regardless of gym closures, curfews and travel restrictions. Led by our Founder and women’s health expert, Di Westaway, we developed a science-based fitness challenge that you can do anytime, anywhere, and called it Stayin’ Wild.

Stayin’ Wild is more than a walking program. We call it a step challenge with heart, but it’s more than that, too. It’s a super simple formula that gives you everything you need to build your fitness for a healthier, happier life.

It involves walking 10,000 steps a day and 20,000 steps on the weekend, then adding puffing, lifting and playing each week to keep your body and mind in tip top shape. Di and the Wild Women On Top Stayin’ Wild team are there to hold your hand every step of the way, because we know how important it is to have support, community and connection when building new habits.

Our mission has always been to inspire and empower women to soar beyond their wildest dreams. Like Trek Training and Coastrek, Stayin’ Wild does just that. Plus, by fundraising for Beyond Blue, Wildies are helping all Australians achieve their best possible mental health.

MORE ABOUT STAYIN' WILD

WHAT OUR WILDIES ARE SAYIN’

“Life has been thrown into such turmoil at the moment and it can be hard to focus on ourselves and our health. But the Stayin’ Wild Challenge made it easy!

A fun, supportive group, with achievable daily goals that build up your fitness over the month.

And after 4 weeks I feel like I am back in a routine and can keep going. If you need some motivation to get moving - definitely join this team!” - Cath Wallis: August Stayin' Wildie

“Loving this challenge and the beauty I am able to enjoy.” - Naomi E. October Stayin' Wildie

“I have been motivated by the pics, the honest comments and the celebratory shares.

I managed to finish strong after a couple of days of fairly scrappy effort as I spent way too much time arguing with myself about what I hadn’t done instead of picking myself up and getting out in the fresh air and stepping, stairing and lifting.

That’s when all of the group comments, shares and good vibes came in. Thank you all.”

- Jen A. August Stayin' Wildie.
