Wilsons Prom Wild Walk - March 2020
About the adventure
Wilsons Promontory National Park has it all, from coastal trails and lush bushland to pristine beaches and granite peaks. It's a mecca for wildlife, with kangaroos, emus, echidnas and a plethora of native birds living along the trails.
This Wild Walk will see you starting the morning with a short but heart-starting climb up to the top of Mt Oberon, where the views of the National Park and across the Bass Strait are spectacular. After heading back down Mt Oberon, we will trek down the Telegraph Track to Oberon Bay for lunch and a refreshing swim. From here we will take our time to explore the coastline from Oberon Bay back to Tidal River before heading home.
Moderate. You must be of moderate fitness with the ability to trek for 8 hours with a 7 kg pack on steep terrain and be prepared for all weather conditions.
