Scotland and Ireland - June 2020
About the adventure
Explore the remote and spectacular Scottish Highlands, discover the magic of the dingle peninsula, stay in a luxury castle, marvel at the Cliffs of Moher and visit the unique Aran Islands with Wanda and a team of Wild Women!
Our adventure begins in Glasgow, one of Europe's most vibrant, dynamic and friendly cities. From here we transfer to one of the most remote and wild area of Scotland. We spend our time exploring the vast landscape with a combination of mountains, lochs and rivers where narrow glens and stunning ridges make for excellent mountain walking.
Leaving Scotland we travel to Cork, Ireland and transfer to beautiful Killarney. We'll enjoy forays to Mangerton and Brandon Mountain as well as enjoying a touch of luxury spending two nights in a castle, steeped in history and sitting within 30 acres of private gardens and woodland.
Continuing our journey we make our way to the colourful and welcoming village of Doolin in County Clare. Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, it boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery in Ireland and is the home of traditional Irish music, with plenty of music and craic to be had every night. You’ll enjoy a hike along the awe inspiring Cliffs of Moher as well as a hiking the Black Head Coastal loop or Abbey Hill - a great limestone landscape boasting lots of wildflowers in early summer.
We take a day trip across to Inis Mor, part of the unique Aran Islands. The island is well known for ancient sites, like the clifftop fort of Dun Aonghasa and its medieval Christian ruins.
This trip has it all - spectacular scenery, great walks and plenty of craic!
