Mt Solitary Wild Walk, Blue Mountains - May 2018
About the adventure
This fun, challenging Wild Walk is a must do for all Wild Women On Top. It begins with an exciting pre-dawn descent of the Golden Stairs, followed by morning tea atop the stunning rock formation of the Ruined Castle. We will then make our way Korrowall Knife Edge Ridge of Mt Solitary, which offers incredible views back to the rugged cliffs of the Jamison Valley. It’s a steady climb from here to reach the iconic Mt Solitary and our gourmet lunch! We will soak up the spectacular views out to Kanangra Walls and beyond, before heading back to the final ascent of the Golden Stairs.
Guided walk with accompanying WWOT Coach, NPWS entry fees, first aid, National Parks Licence, morning tea and gourmet lunch.
Moderate to challenging. You must be of good fitness, feel comfortable walking by head-torch light and capable of carrying a day pack up to 10-12 hours. Be prepared for basic rock scrambling and variable weather conditions.
