Meet our Team

Sarah Biggs

What is your role in the WWOT team

My role as fitness and adventure coach is to empower the Wild Women of Melbourne to lead more adventurous lives. I lead regular Trek Training sessions in both inner Melbourne and the amazing nature areas that surround our wonderful city.

What is your favourite thing about the WWOT community?

The word community says it all. I love seeing women literally blossom, both physically and mentally, when they experience the support and friendship of other Wild Women as they strive for, and achieve, big adventure goals.

What’s at the top of your bucket list?

Currently it is the Kumano Koda or Nakasendo Trails in Japan. Japan has always been a bucket list destination. I would also LOVE to do the Australian Alps Walking Track from start to finish. Although I might have to wait until my son leaves home before I try to tackle the full 655km.

Where will we find you on a Sunday morning?

Out in the wilderness with a fabulous group of Melbourne Wild Women - after making Sunday morning family pancakes of course.

What’s the wildest adventure you have ever been on?

When I was 21, I travelled around Australia by myself for 12 months (that in itself was pretty wild). When I was in NT, I took a trip to Kakadu and visited Twin Falls. While swimming up the river to the falls, I happened to look to my right and came face to face with a fresh water crocodile.  I have been on a lot of wild adventure since, but I will never forget that heart stopping moment of looking a crocodile in the eye.

What motto or mantra do you live by?

Never live your life in ‘should have’.
