  • Coastrek

I was Trek Training on a Thursday night back in 2005 and I entered with my mates from that night. Jac, Holly, Ned and Linda. It was our next progression of goals and a 'step out of box' kind of goal. I was up for one of those.

"Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right." Oprah Winfrey
At Xmas time, I’ve usually got about as much food discipline as a stoner with the munchies. Two glasses of summer bubbles and I will vacuum the fridge, actually. It’s sad. My 80:20 rule of healthy eating becomes 20:80. I binge myself to bulge.

  • Lisa Marshall Profile

It's Monday morning. The alarm barks at me and I flap around blindly trying to mute it. My eyes are glued shut with sleep and I'm feeling groggy and sluggish. I dig deep into the rubbish bin of yesterday's thoughts searching for a reason to drag myself from the warm cocoon of my doona.

  • Happy Coastrekker

Back in 2005 Coastrek was born.
A 127 km adventure that had trekkers walking around the clock. It was young and unknowing but its vision and cause attracted wonderful, adventurous teams to its starting line. 10 years on the original Coastrekker’s have gone on to scale the most arduous yet breathtaking peaks of Everest and K2, abandoned professions in search of the magnificent and are now employed by the wild – spending days getting to know themselves amongst the many hidden treasures of the outdoors.

  • Trekking

Adventure is about the UNEXPECTED……after all it’s not called the wild just for fun.
The wilderness is wonderful but as all us trekkers have learnt, it is unpredictable, random and impulsive. It does not follow any schedule, itinerary or plan and definitely does not always conform to our expectations.
