About the adventure:

This is a moderate river and ridge hike to allow you to test your mental and physical toughness before a moderate adventure such as Coastrek, wild weekends, wild weeks and multi-day hikes. 

You will love the remote wilderness of the Wild Blue Labyrinth, meandering along the lush world heritage rivers and streams and climbing rocky trails to spectacular views.  

You will need the endurance fitness to hike all day with morning, lunch and afternoon breaks as well as time to plunge into the exquisite rock pools and billabongs of the mountain rivers.  

Fitness requirements:

Moderate.You must be of good fitness and capable of carrying a 6-8kg pack for up to 7-8 hours on long uneven and undulating climbs and river stones in variable weather conditions. You will need a WWOT coach to assess that you’re appropriately experienced to do this hike by attending one of the lead coaches trek training sessions for approval at least 2-4 weeks prior to the hike. 

Inclusions:

Wild Women On Top guided walk with wilderness first aid qualified WWOT coaches, first aid, NPWS entry fees,  National Parks Licence, morning and afternoon tea coffee, and gourmet lunch. Please bring gourmet delicious nutritious treats to share.

The entire walk spans a phenomenal 250km of bushwalking track linking the Sydney CBD with the Hunter Valley and Newcastle. On our one-day Wild Walk, we will concentrate on the Lane Cove section. During your walk, you will bear witness to some of the most spectacular views and landscapes, all with the backing soundtrack of native birds and wildlife.
