Is Freycinet on your 2017 bucket list?
This tour encompasses a variety of walks through the spectacular Freycinet National Park on the east coast of Tasmania and the nearby Douglas Apsley National Park. We discover the pristine beauty of secluded bays, white sandy beaches, turquoise waters and visit highlights such as Wineglass Bay & the isolated Friendly Beaches.
We will combine a mixture of full-pack and daypack walks to get the best of this varied environment. Our full pack walk will enable us to establish a base camp in the remote Cooks Beach, making the most of the wilderness camping in the Freycinet National Park. During our day walks you will only be required to carry a small day pack (containing your lunch, wet weather gear, camera etc) and in the evenings we will enjoy our beautifully located wilderness camp. Our final night you will be able to enjoy a little bit of luxury at the exclusive Piermont Retreat.
"Putting on my back pack was a bit scary but it did not take long to realise that my training was so worth it... Freycinet Peninsula's amazing crystal clear water on our right and the mountains of the peninsula on our left. Swimming at Cooks Beach and Wineglass Bay was spectacular at the end of day, melting away those little aches from the day and our final night at the Piermont Retreat in little stone cottages was truly amazing!" - Pam Scrivenor, Freycinet Wild Woman
