Charity

Wild Women On Top teams have been supporting charities and changing lives through our activities since 2005.

Our first charity event was the “Mum’s Kick to Kili” dinner, raising funds for the Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia and supporting the incredible work of Dr Katherine Hamlin.

Wild Women On Top Teams have participated in the Oxfam Trailwalker 100k trek every year since 2005 and continue to empower women and raise funds with this amazing adventure challenge.

In addition to this, Wild Women On Top teams have been running charity fundraising events for The Fred Hollows Foundation since 2006. These events included the Masked Iced Ball, which also supported for the Seven Summits Team to climb Mt Aconcagua, 6,792m, (the highest mountain in the southern hemisphere), and Denali, 6,100m, in Alaska.

The mum/teen teams of Wild Women On Top have also raised funds for The Fred Hollows Foundation and their climbs of Mt Kinabalu and Mt Rinjani with the teen concert, “Rock for Sight”.

Wild Women On Top also support the UNHCR, Wilderness Society and The Australian Himalayan Foundation, as we encourage our members to seek ways of achieving personal health and fitness goals, while changing lives. We partner with the amazing work of the Australian Himalayan Foundation through sponsored treks and Wild Weekends.

Since 2005, Wild Women On Top has proudly raised over $2,000,000 for charities and made a difference to tens of thousands of lives. Our main fundraiser is the Wild Women On Top Sydney Coastrek, 50 – 100km Team challenge, proudly supporting The Fred Hollows Foundation. This event raised $600,000 in 2011, over $1 million in 2012 and is expected to raise $1.7million in 2013 while empowering women and corporate teams to achieve extraordinary goals. www.coastrek.com.au
